Five star score for school kitchen
Nunnykirk has achieved a five star excellence rating in a national food hygiene initiative. The school has shown very high compliance under the national Scores on the Doors rating scheme which is supported by Northumberland County Council.
Head teacher Carol Hodgson said: "We are delighted to have gained this rating. Praise must go to the kitchen staff who are very vigilant when it comes to hygiene standards as they know how important this is when providing meals for pupils."

Dyslexia is a specific learning difficulty (SpLD), often inherited and is a lifelong condition. Dyslexia is much more than the traditional definition of ‘difficulty with words’ or ‘word blindness’.
Nunnykirk School is very happy to offer a taster day for any child with dyslexia whose parents are considering sending them to the school.
