We are able to offer our high level of support for students to carry on their studies to AS and A2 levels, to obtain higher grades at GCSE, take driving lessons and gain further work/college experience. We can also offer a wider variety of sporting
opportunities including sports leadership, climbing, golf, orienteering and squash. Entry into the Sixth Form is not automatic. Year 11 students follow an interview process and their best interests are discussed with staff and parents.

On entry into Sixth Form students sign a contract agreeing to an acceptable code of conduct and dress. Sixth Formers are expected to set an example to the younger pupils and are rewarded for this by having their own Sixth Form suite, including kitchen, lounge and study areas.
From September 2008, to provide vocational experience and to enhance the curriculum provided by Nunnykirk, Sixth Form students have the opportunity to attend Northumberland College. The one day a week City and Guilds Foundation course in Building Craft Occupation will provide a taster opportunity fro future training as well as developing independence and providing experience of a different learning environment.
